Metro Holiday Service Information 2016

Advisory Effective: 12/19/16 - 1/2/17

Metrorail will remain open until 3 a.m. on New Year's Eve (early New Year's Day) for the benefit of holiday revelers with free rides on Metrorail and Metrobus from midnight until system closing courtesy of Miller Lite®.

Below is a summary of Metrorail, Metrobus and MetroAccess service during the holiday season.

Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Christmas Day Observed

Saturday, December 24 Christmas Eve	Metrorail system open 7 a.m. until midnight on a Saturday schedule Metrobus will operate on a Saturday schedule MetroAccess subscription trips cancelled
Sunday, December 25 Christmas Day	Metrorail system open 7 a.m. until midnight on a Sunday schedule Metrobus will operate on a Sunday schedule MetroAccess subscription trips cancelled
Monday, December 26 Christmas Day Observed	Metrorail system open 7 a.m. until midnight on a Sunday schedule Metrobus will operate on a Sunday schedule MetroAccess subscription trips cancelled

Off-peak fares will be in effect all 3 days and parking will be free at all Metro-operated facilities.

On Saturday, December 24,Red Line trains will single track between Van Ness-UDC and Dupont Circle from 8:00 p.m. until closing

New Years Eve, New Years Day and New Years Day Observed

Off-peak fares will be in effect all 3 days and parking will be free at all Metro-operated facilities.

On Monday, January 2, please note scheduled track work 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to close on the Red, Orange, Silver and Blue lines.

Last train departure times vary by station. Customers can check last train times on New Year's Eve by visiting a station's webpage at wmata.com/stations and adding three hours to the regular last train time.
