Metro plans full-scale emergency response exercise at Glenmont Station, Sunday, November 3

On Sunday, November 3, Metro Transit Police, Montgomery County and regional partners will conduct a full-scale emergency drill at the Glenmont Metrorail Station. Emergency response personnel from Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, and the District will participate.
The exercise is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and is expected to end no later than 2:00 p.m.
SERVICE INFORMATION
- Glenmont will be closed for the duration of the exercise.
- Between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., free shuttle buses will operate between Wheaton and Glenmont to accommodate customers traveling to or from Glenmont. Please allow 10 minutes of travel time.
- Metrobus service to the station will operate normally.

During the exercise, customers may notice a large number of emergency response vehicles in the area. Please be assured that it is only a drill.
