Temporary Detour: Demonstrations in downtown DC, June 6-7

Routes Affected: 30N, 30S, 54, 70, S4, X2
Due to ongoing demonstrations in the downtown DC area, some routes will detour while others will turnback. Detours and turnbacks are subject to change.
Metrobus will operate its COVID-19 weekend service June 6 and 7. Twenty-seven routes will operate between 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Customers are encouraged to plan ahead and take the nearest Metrorail whenever possible.
Reminder:
- Essential travel only
- Wear face coverings at all times while travelling on Metrobus
- Board/exit at the rear entrance of the bus
The following routes will turnback:
Routes 30N and 30S will operate in two segments.
30N, 30S Friendship Heights-Southeast
Buses will operate between Friendship Heights Metrorail station and a temporary bus stop located on Massachusetts Ave NW at Florida Ave (stop ID# 1001520).
30N, 30S Friendship Heights-Southeast
Buses will operate between Naylor Rd and Southern Ave Metrorail stations and a temporary bus stop located on Independence Ave SW at New Jersey Ave (stop ID# 1000734).
54 14th Street
Buses will operate between Takoma Metrorail station and a bus stop located on 14th St NW at N St (stop ID# 1001360).
S4 16th Street
Buses will operate between the Paul S. Sarbanes Transit Center and a bus stop located on 16th St NW at P St (stop ID# 1002880).
X2 Benning Rd-H Street
Buses will operate between Minnesota Ave Metrorail station and a bus stop located on H St NW at North Capitol St (stop ID# 1001135).
The following route will detour:
70 Georgia Avenue-7th Street northbound toward Silver Spring
Buses beginning service at a temporary bus stop on 7th St NW at N St (stop ID# 1001369), resuming regular route along 7th St NW.
70 Georgia Avenue-7th Street southbound toward Archives
Buses begin detouring on Rhode Island Ave NW at 7th St, ending service at a temporary bus stop on 7th St NW at N St (stop ID# 1001369).
