Temporary Detour: 2023 Annual Fiesta DC Parade September 24

Route Affected: 32, 33, 36, 64, 70, 74, 79, P6, S2

On Sunday, September 24, multiple buses will detour/turnback due to the 2023 Annual Fiesta DC Parade. Please allow additional travel time and avoid the area if possible. Consider Metrorail as an alternate travel option.

Street Closures:

• Pennsylvania Ave between 3rd St NW and 7th St

• Constitution between 3rd St NW and 14th St

The following routes will detour:

32, 36 Pennsylvania Ave eastbound to Southern Avenue Station | Naylor Rd Station

• Buses begin detouring on Pennsylvania Ave NW at 14th St, resuming regular route on 14th St NW at Independence St SW.

32, 36 Pennsylvania Ave westbound to Potomac Park

• Buses begin detouring on Independence Ave SW at 4th St, resuming regular route on 15th St NW at Independence Ave SW.  

33 Wisconsin Ave

• Buses will operate between Friendship Heights Station and a bus stop located on F St NW at 15th St (stop ID# 1001049).

64 Fort Totten-Federal Triangle

• Buses will operate between Fort Totten and a bus stop located on 13th St NW at F St (stop ID# 1001054).

70 Georgia Ave-7th Street

79 Georgia Ave MetroExtra

• Buses will operate between Silver Spring Transit Center and a bus stop located on 7th St NW at F St (stop ID# 1003417).

74 Convention Ctr-SW Waterfront northbound to Convention Center

• Buses begin detouring on 7th St SW at Independence Ave, resuming regular route on 7th St NW at Pennsylvania Ave.

74 Convention Ctr-SW Waterfront southbound to Buzzard Point

• Buses begin detouring on 7th St NW at Pennsylvania Ave, resuming regular route on 7th St SW at Independence Ave.

S2 16th Street

• Buses will operate between Silver Spring Transit Center and a bus stop located on 13th St NW at G St (stop ID# 1001073).
