Bus Loop Service Opens: King Street-Old Town Metro Improvements Project, June 6

Routes Affected: 28A, 29K, 29N, NH2, REX
On June 6, 2021, Metrobus routes 28A, 29K, 29N, NH2, and REX will begin serving new bays located in the bus loop at King St-Old Town Metrorail Station. As a part of the King Street-Old Town Metro Access Improvements Project, each new bus bay will include new digital screens providing real-time arrival information. Additionally, new crosswalks and redesigned station lighting have been installed to help increase customer visibility.

The temporary bus shelters for routes 28A, 29K, 29N, NH2, and REX will be closed and will relocate to the following new bus bay locations:
Bus Bay B
29K to George Mason University
29N to Vienna Mason University
Bus Bay C
28A to Tysons Corner
Bus Bay E
NH2 to National Harbor
REX to Fort Belvoir
Metrobus customers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional travel time.
