Today marks exactly one month since the last two Summer 2020 Platform Improvement Project stations reopened following months of platform reconstruction work. Vienna, Dunn Loring, West Falls Church and East Falls Church stations all received newly reconstructed platforms and customer experience improvements, bringing the overall Platform Improvement Project to the halfway mark.
Whether you've already returned to your station or plan to in the future, you will find safer and more accessible platforms, along with an enhanced station experience that will bring a higher level of safety, convenience and communication.
Customer experience improvements include new slip-resistant tiles on the platforms and in the mezzanine areas, stainless-steel platform shelters with charging ports, larger Passenger Information Displays (PIDS) and energy-efficient LED lighting.
If you haven’t visited these stations yet, don’t worry! Below are virtual walkthroughs for each station, along with before and after photos that highlight the significant transformations. We look forward to welcoming you back!
