This week we’re featuring Braddock Rd in our series of historical photos of the six Blue and Yellow line stations currently under renovation. Braddock Rd Station opened on December 17, 1983 alongside the rest of the Yellow Line stations south of Reagan National Airport. This station is one of four in the City of Alexandria and is serviced by both the Blue and Yellow lines. Similar to King St-Old Town Station, Braddock Rd Station features a specially designed highly angled triangular roof to match the architectural style of the Old Town neighborhood. The featured photos on this page show station construction in the late 1970s.
