Looking back at historic King St-Old Town Station photos
Since many of you enjoyed these photos, we went to the basement and pulled out some historic construction photos of Platform Improvement Project stations. Look for them later this month at https://t.co/uf6thatViE. pic.twitter.com/JrNII8PCOj

Originally constructed in the late 1970s-early 1980s, the Yellow Line south of Reagan National Airport opened on December 17, 1983, adding Braddock Rd, King St-Old Town, Eisenhower Ave & Huntington stations to the system. These stations were joined by Blue Line service to Van Dorn St in 1991 and Franconia-Springfield in 1997.
We're planning to highlight each of the six stations with their own blog posts full of historic photos, starting today with King St-Old Town Station. In addition to the blog posts, we'll also share these photos on Metro's social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter) for #ThrowbackThursday and #FlashbackFriday. Consider following those accounts to make sure you don't miss any exciting photos!
