Parking Preventive Maintenance Program

The Parking Preventive Maintenance Program is a regular maintenance schedule for Metro’s parking facilities located across the Metro system. The program ensures that parking facilities will receive regular preventive maintenance to reduce premature deterioration of parking facilities due to water, chemical and environmental elements, thus extending the life of Metro parking facilities. The parking maintenance program reinforces Metro’s commitment to providing customers with safe, reliable and affordable transit opportunities in the region.

The Parking Preventive Maintenance Program is designed to accomplish many goals, in pursuit of Metro’s vision to be the region’s safest, most reliable and affordable public transportation of choice:

  • Facilities are operational, safe and secure for customer use
  • Customers and personal vehicles are safe and protected
  • Parking facilities are equipped for long-term use
The Parking Preventive Maintenance Program will ensure that specific cleaning and maintenance activities are conducted semi-annually at targeted parking facilities. Depending on the parking facility, a parking facility may receive the following maintenance activities: a semiannual power sweeping and minor repairs to address miscellaneous issues including potholes, tripping hazards, missing or displaced lot bumpers/tire stops, ramps, stairs, handrails, guardrails, drain inlets and signage.
