New Carrollton, Landover, Cheverly, Deanwood and Minnesota Ave stations will be closed May 28-Sept. 5. During this time, we will make station improvements that will enhance your experience with a higher level of safety, convenience and communication and complete bridge repairs at six locations on this portion of the Orange Line.

Prepare for the upcoming closures with the top 5 things to know:

1. No Metrorail service at New Carrollton, Landover, Cheverly, Deanwood and Minnesota Ave stations May 28- Sept. 5.

Shuttle Bus Icon

2. Free and frequent shuttle buses will be available to keep you moving.

  • Local Shuttle (New Carrollton > Landover > Cheverly > Deanwood > Minnesota Ave > Stadium-Armory) every 15-20 minutes.
  • Express 1 (New Carrollton > Landover > Stadium-Armory) every 10-15 minutes.
  • Express 2 (Deanwood > Minnesota Ave > Stadium-Armory) every 10-15 minutes.
  • Blue/Silver Line Shuttle* (Benning Rd > Stadium-Armory) every 15-20 minutes.

3. Parking at closed stations will be free for Metro customers using a SmarTrip® card.
