Metro’s Platform Improvement Project Gears Up for May 28 Station Closures

Published: April 14, 2022 | En Español
We're getting ready for the start of the Platform Improvement Project on May 28, but you may have noticed we're already staging construction equipment and materials at New Carrollton, Landover, Cheverly, Deanwood and Minnesota Ave stations. The five stations will be closed May 28-Sept. 5.

You Have Questions. We Have Answers!

With all the work happening at your station already, you may have a question (or two!) about the project and what to expect.

We're here to help you prepare for the upcoming closures with our frequently asked questions (FAQs) covering everything from project details to free shuttle bus service.
FAQ

Construction Update: Bus & Parking Changes

Since March, portions of the Park & Ride and Kiss & Ride lots at the impacted stations closed so that the project team could stage construction equipment and materials. On May 1, buses on the east side of New Carrollton Station (bus stops A-F) will relocate. Most of these changes will last through early 2023. For your safety, stay clear of the construction zone and follow all posted signs.
