Events and Performances
SummerSet DC (formerly Music on the Mall) is a free concert series developed and sponsored by Art in Transit in cooperation with the Office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, and the National Park Service. New partners in 2019 include the Southwest Business Improvement District and Wolftrap. The concerts showcase local musicians by the Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter and L’Enfant Plaza Metro stations, as well as on the National Mall. Musicians are selected through open auditions by panelists who represent some of the region’s leading art institutions and agencies.
