In 2004, Buzzuto Development and entered into a joint development agreement with WMATA to purchase and develop approximately 2.4 acres of land on top of the east entrance at the Wheaton Metro Station (Red Line).

In 2008, construction of MetroPointe, a 173-unit residential building (53 affordable units) with 3,200 square feet of retail was completed.  The development relocated the existing Kiss & Ride facilities into the parking garage.
