November 30, 2017 Notice of Conciliation Agreement with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission

On November 30, 2017, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Lawrence Jones, and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), resolved to conciliate an investigative finding against WMATA under the Americans with Disability Act of 1990, as amended (referred to as the "ADA"). To resolve the matter, the parties agreed to a mutually acceptable resolution with the EEOC including the delivery of ADA training, placement of EEOC posters, and notice of this agreement on wmata.com.
Over the next 16 months, The Office of Fair Practice will manage the implementation of all requirements called for by the agreement with the EEOC. This agreement with the EEOC, otherwise known as a Conciliation Agreement, can be accessed by following the link below.
