Metro today announced that the rail system will operate largely free of scheduled track work over Capital Pride Weekend, June 10-11, 2017. The only exception will be ongoing SafeTrack work at five Orange Line stations between New Carrollton and Minnesota Ave.

Trains on all lines will operate at regular weekend intervals, departing endpoint stations every 12 minutes on Saturday and every 15 minutes on Sunday. At stations served by multiple lines in Downtown DC, trains will arrive every 4-7 minutes. In addition, Red Line service will run more frequently between Grosvenor and Silver Spring stations during daytime hours.

Red Line Regular weekend intervals
Orange Line Regular weekend intervals between Vienna & Largo
Silver Line Regular weekend intervals between Wiehle-Reston & Stadium-Armory
Blue Line Regular weekend intervals between Franconia-Springfield & Largo
Green Line Regular weekend intervals
Yellow Line Regular weekend intervals between Huntington & Fort Totten

The Capital Pride Parade on Saturday and Capital Pride Festival on Sunday are each expected to draw hundreds of thousands of attendees, including many out-of-town guests.

Metro will continue to advance maintenance work during the late evening and overnight hours on June 10 and 11.
