Service changes on Metrobus routes 89 and 89M begin March 13 and rerouting of the C29 Saturday service starts March 18.

 

Metrobus routes 89 and 89M will be extended south from Ritz Way to Ammendale Road beginning Monday, March 13. Southbound buses will operate via Route 1, Muirkirk Meadows Drive, Muirkirk Road and Virginia Manor Road, continuing beyond Ritz Way to Ammendale Road, then via Ammendale Road back to Route 1. Northbound buses will follow the reverse routing.

 

Saturday service on Metrobus C29 is being rerouted beginning March 18 to serve Bowie State University. On Saturdays, the C29 will be rerouted to operate from the intersection of Northview Drive and Collington Road (Md. Rt. 197) to Bowie State University via Rt. 197 direct. The current C29 routing via the Bowie Park & Ride lot and South Belair to The Market Place (Belair Center) will be discontinued due to low ridership.
