Eight Metrobus routes discontinued in Maryland after December 26

Eight Metrobus routes will be discontinued after Friday, December 26. They are the 14A, 14B, 14C, 14D, B11, C18, G1, and N7. Customers who currently use the 14A, 14B, 14C, 14D Montgomery-Tysons Beltway Express have several alternatives. Customers riding between Gaithersburg and Rock Spring Park may ride J9 and transfer at Medical Center Metrorail station to J1 or J3. Those riding between Gaithersburg and Montgomery Mall may ride J9 and transfer at Medical Center Metrorail station to J1, J2, or J3. Those traveling between Maryland and Virginia may use the Red Line to Metro Center Metrorail station then the Orange Line to West Falls Church-VT/UVA Metrorail station and transfer there to any bus going to Tysons Corner. The B11 Bethesda Reverse Commute Line has alternative service available on Metrorail, Ride On, and Metrobus Routes 32, 34, 36, and 38B. The C18 Waldorf-Branch Avenue Line has no alternative service available during the non-rush and Saturday hours when it operates. However, there is commuter bus service available during rush hours. Contact the Maryland Department of Transportation, Mass Transit Administration, for information. The G1 Greenbelt Metrorail station parking lot shuttle will be discontinued. Customers who currently use the N7 Montgomery Mall-Federal Triangle Express Line have as alternatives Routes J1, J2, and J3 from Montgomery Mall, Route T2 on River Road, or Ride On.
