Metro seeks joint development Master Developer for Huntington Station
The station area has a total of 12 acres available for mixed-use development, with five acres on the north side and seven acres on the south side of the station. As a national leader in transit-oriented development, Metro is transforming neighborhoods by creating mixed-use, walkable communities built around transit services.
“Joint development is part of Metro’s strategy for increasing transit ridership,” said Metro Vice President of Real Estate and Parking, Nina Albert. “It is also a win for the community because it is an opportunity to improve the station and better connect it to the surrounding neighborhood, as well as increase housing, retail and public space opportunities.”
The Master Developer will be responsible for all pre-development work, including proposing a site plan to take through the Comprehensive Plan amendment process, infrastructure development, and disposition of joint development pad sites to vertical developers.
Parties interested in this opportunity can visit wmata.com/realestate under the “Current Offerings and Solicitations” section. A pre-proposal conference will be held May 10, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. at Metro Headquarters, 600 Fifth Street, NW, Washington, DC. Proposals are due June 7, 2019. Additional inquiries may be made to email@example.com.
