Media Advisory: Metro & City of Alexandria celebrate the opening of Potomac Yard-VT Station
Metro and officials with the City of Alexandria will be joined by federal, state and local leaders for the Grand Opening Celebration of the Potomac Yard-VT Station on Friday, May 19, at 10:30 a.m.
The Potomac Yard Station will be Metro's 98th rail station located in one of the fastest growing areas of Alexandria and adjacent to the future site of the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus.

Getting to the event
The event will take place under a tent at the Potomac Yard-VT Metrorail Station, North Pavilion. Take Metro’s Blue or Yellow line to Potomac Yard Station and follow the signs to the North Entrance Pavilion.
Parking
Please be advised that there is no parking at the Potomac Yard-VT Station. Limited access will be available for media live trucks only. Additional details will be provided upon RSVP.
Event parking is available in the Potomac Yard shopping center, in front of the future Amazon Fresh Grocery store, the address is: 3801 Richmond Highway Alexandria VA. The event is a short walk from the parking lot or you may take a free shuttle bus.
