Media Advisory: Metro and City of Alexandria invite media to tour Potomac Yard Metrorail Station

Metro General Manager and Chief Executive Officer Randy Clarke will be joined by Mayor Justin Wilson from the City of Alexandria, to provide a construction update and media tour of the Potomac Yard Metrorail Station on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.

Potomac Yard, an infill station between Braddock Road and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, was initiated by the City of Alexandria and is funded by tax revenues and developer contributions generated by planned new development in the Potomac Yard neighborhood, as well as state grants, loans and regional sources.
 
The station will serve a fast growing area of Alexandria with proximity to homes, businesses, new jobs and the future Virginia Tech Innovation Campus.

GPS Directions: use intersection of Potomac Greens Drive & Catts Tavern Drive, Alexandria. Go through construction gate and follow gravel road to park. Do not go past construction trailers.
