Going to a Nationals Game 7 Watch Party tonight? Metro will stay open a full hour after the game from four stations, thanks to Pepco

Nationals fans attending Game 7 watch parties can take Metro home thanks to support from Pepco. Metro General Manager/CEO Paul J. Wiedefeld today announced that four stations located near major watch party events will remain open for entry after the system’s regular 11:30 p.m. closing time.

The four stations will remain open for one hour after the game ends, and trains will continue running on all lines until all customers have been accommodated.

After 11:30 p.m., customers can enter Metrorail only at the following locations:

  • Navy Yard-Ballpark Both entrances open
  • Waterfront
  • L’Enfant Plaza Enter at 7th & D sts SW or 7th & Maryland Ave SW only
  • Gallery Place – Chinatown Enter at 7th & F sts NW or 7th & H sts NW only
  • All other stations will be exit only after 11:30 p.m.

    "As Nationals fans come together to cheer and celebrate a thrilling season of baseball, they can rely on Metro to get them home thanks to Pepco stepping up to the plate," said Metro General Manager and Chief Executive Officer Paul J. Wiedefeld. "We are incredibly proud of our home team for their historic season, and we'll all be showing our spirit on Metro tonight after the Nats finish the fight."

    Metro has cleared all track work tonight to provide the best service possible.

    Wiedefeld also expressed appreciation for the support and flexibility of Metro’s front-line employees who are essential to running the system. “We owe our appreciation to them for making the personal sacrifices to work on short notice to keeps the trains running," Wiedefeld said. "This wouldn't be possible without them."
