Metrorail and Metrobus service at Pentagon to remain suspended through closing due to ongoing police investigation

Metro is advising customers that rail and bus service will remain temporarily suspended at the Pentagon through closing tonight due to the ongoing law enforcement investigation.

As a result of the closure, Blue and Yellow line trains are passing through the Pentagon Station without stopping. Customers should use Pentagon City as an alternative. Normal scheduled rail service will operate to all other lines and stations.

Metrobus service that normally operates to the Pentagon Transit Center is instead being detoured to Pentagon City, where customers may connect to Metrorail and other regional bus providers such as ART, DASH, Connector, Omni-Ride and Loudoun Commuter buses. Metro has additional staff available at the station to assist customers.

At this time, it is unclear whether the ongoing investigation will impact service on Wednesday morning. Should service be affected, Metro will communicate the information to customers prior to the start of service.

Additional service information and updates will be provided at wmata.com on the Status and Alerts Page, on Twitter @MetrorailInfo and @MetrobusInfo and via MetroAlerts text and email messages. Customers are encouraged to sign up for MetroAlerts to receive the latest information and service updates by specific rail lines and bus routes.
