Metrobus customers advised of possible detours and delays tonight, March 1

Metro is advising bus customers of possible traffic disruptions this evening, March 1, that may result in detours or delays through the Downtown DC area. Customer should avoid the area if possible and are encouraged to use Metrorail as an alternative.

The following 36 Metrobus routes may be impacted:

3F, 3Y, 5A, 16E, 16Y, 31, 32, 33, 36, 38B, 42, 43, 52, 54, 59, 63, 64, 70, 74, 79, 80, 96, D4, D6, D8, G8, L2, N2, N4, N6, P6, S2, S9, X2, X8, X9

Customers should allow additional travel time. To avoid traffic delays consider taking Metrorail out of the downtown area and then transfer to Metrobus farther up the line. Bus fares are free on regular bus routes with a $2 discount when transferring to/from Metrorail.
