Media Advisory: Metro officials to provide tour of new state-of-the-art bus garage at Andrews Federal Center

Metro is inviting the media to tour its new state-of-the-art bus garage at Andrews Federal Center tomorrow, June 21, 2019 at 1 p.m. The Andrews Bus Garage will centralize bus operations, maintenance and repairs in a 296,000 square foot facility. Built to LEED Silver certified energy efficient building standards, the bus garage features LED lighting, on-site water treatment and storm water management, built-in spill containment and is designed to accommodate electric buses in the future.

Metrobuses will begin operating from the Andrews Bus Garage effective Sunday, June 23, 2019, serving Southern Prince George’s County and Southeast DC.
