Metro service information for the Juneteenth holiday, Monday, June 20

On Monday, June 20, Metrorail will open at 5 a.m. and close at midnight, providing normal service on five of six lines, with service adjustments on the Orange Line due to the Platform Improvement Project. Metrobus service will vary by route, with buses running on a Saturday Supplemental schedule. MetroAccess customers may make a reservation to travel on the holiday; however, subscription trips will be canceled.

Metrorail 

Trains will operate every 10 minutes on the Red Line, every 15 minutes on the Green and Yellow Lines, and every 20 minutes on the Blue, Orange, and Silver Lines. New Carrollton, Landover, Cheverly, Deanwood, and Minnesota Avenue stations will be closed due to the ongoing Platform Improvement Project. Metrobus 

Metrobus will operate on a Saturday Supplemental schedule. Service varies by route; click here for timetables. 

MetroAccess 

All subscription MetroAccess trips will be cancelled. Customers wishing to travel on the holiday should make a separate reservation online or by calling 301-562-5360 (TTY 301-588-7535).
