Prioritized Capital Projects for American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)

Questions

If you have questions about Metro's stimulus program, please send an email to: metrostimulus@wmata.com.

Metro will receive approximately $202 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. In anticipation of this historic legislation, Metro initiated a strategic and structured process of prioritizing economic stimulus projects. The prioritization process was based on Metro's five agency goals:

  • Retain and attract the best and brightest
  • Create a safety culture
  • Deliver quality service
  • Use every resource wisely
  • Maintain and enhance Metro's image

Additional input came from agency wide staff, Metro's Sustainability Group, the Jurisdictional Coordinating Committee (JCC), the Riders' Advisory Committee (RAC), and the Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC).
