These projects include the purchase of buses, paratransit vehicles, maintenance vehicles, armored vehicles, and other non-revenue service vehicles. Also included are the purchase of railcar truck components, and vehicle components (alternators, transmissions, engines, etc). The vehicles included here meet Buy America requirements with final assembly in the US. Buses include parts from US companies and will directly benefit the domestic automobile industry. Additional vehicles and parts will reduce time between breakdowns and maintenance needs of Metro fleets.
