Metro Pocket Guides
Metro's Pocket Guides include a Metrorail system map, Metrorail fares and hours of operation, directions from area airports, a list of Metrorail stops for many local points of interest, and more.
Metro's Pocket Guides are available for downloading in Adobe Acrobat format, which supports displaying and printing the Guides in their convenient, pocket-sized format and with all graphics and fonts intact. (HTML versions of this same information is available from the Riding Metro general information page.)
Downloading and viewing Adobe Acrobat (PDF) documents requires Acrobat Reader software, a free download from Adobe's Web site. See Acrobat downloading and installation instructions.
If you already have Acrobat installed but are still having trouble loading PDFs from Metro's site (or any other) below are general tips that may help:
1. Instead of immediately displaying the downloaded PDF file in Acrobat Reader, save the file first to your hard drive. To do so, right-click on the underlined links below and choose "Save Link As" (in Netscape Navigator) or "Save Target As" (in Internet Explorer) and specifying a local path and file name. Macintosh users Option-click on the link of the file that you wish to download and specify a local path and file name.

Once the file has been downloaded, double click on it to open it.
2. Allow enough time for the file to finish downloading. Especially if you are on a dial-up Internet connection, download times can be long for PDF documents. See the file sizes above and compare them with the sample download speed comparisons below.
