Bicycle parking at Metro Stations

Many Metro stations have facilities for bicycle storage so you can ride your bicycle to a station, leave it there and take Metrorail. Our storage facilities include racks and rental lockers. Bicycle racks are available for free on a first-come, first-use basis. A list of convenient locations is provided below.

Racks are either Rally Rack III or inverted U Type. The inverted U rack allows the user to lock two (2) bicycles with either a standard U-shaped lock or a chain/cable and lock. When using the Rally Rack III, to insure maximum safety, use a standard, medium sized key padlock. Simply place your bike between the side bars; close the bars so that the prongs go through your frame, insert the lock through the hole in the center of the basket, then close the lock.

Bicycle lockers provide excellent, secure bicycle parking by improving protection from theft, vandalism and inclement weather. The lockers are designed to hold one bicycle each as well as bicycle gear such as panniers, locks, lights, etc. Users will receive one key that will only open one locker. Each locker has a unique lock and key to provide maximum security. Bicycle lockers are available for $70 for one year plus a $10 key deposit.
