Parking

SmarTrip® cards are the only accepted form of payment for daily parking except at Anacostia, Franconia-Springfield, Largo Town Center, New Carrollton, Shady Grove, and Vienna/Fairfax-GMU, where major credit cards are also accepted. Parking is free at Metro-operated lots on weekends and federal holidays. Most weekends, it's easy to find a space at Metro parking lots. On weekdays, they fill up early.
