Unexpected Service Disruptions:

5:57 a.m. A Red Line train at Farragut North in the direction of Glenmont was taken out of service because of a mechanical problem, and customers were required to exit the train.

7:47 a.m. A Green Line train at Branch Ave was not dispatched because of a mechanical problem.

7:48 a.m. An Orange Line train at Smithsonian in the direction of Vienna was delayed because of a door problem.

8:06 a.m. An Orange Line train at Virginia Sq-GMU in the direction of New Carrollton overran the platform but was able to service the station.

9:02 a.m. A Blue Line train at Potomac Ave in the direction of Franconia-Springfield was taken out of service because of a mechanical problem, and customers were required to exit the train.

9:28 a.m. A Green Line train at Prince George’s Plaza in the direction of Greenbelt was delayed because of a mechanical problem.

9:55 a.m. An Orange Line train at Court House in the direction of Vienna was taken out of service because of a mechanical problem, and customers were required to exit the train.

9:58 a.m. A Yellow Line train at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in the direction of Huntington was delayed because of a mechanical problem.

10:38 a.m. An Orange Line train at Cheverly in the direction of Vienna was taken out of service because of a mechanical problem, and customers were required to exit the train. An additional train was put into service.

11:22 a.m. A Blue Line train at McPherson Square in the direction of Largo Town Center was taken out of service because of a mechanical problem, and customers were required to exit the train. An additional train was put into service.

4:59 p.m. An Orange Line train at Vienna was delayed because of a door problem.

5:02 p.m. An Orange Line train at Vienna was taken out of service because of a door problem, and customers were required to exit the train.

5:20 p.m. A Blue Line train at Metro Center in the direction of Largo Town Center was taken out of service because of a door problem, and customers were required to exit the train. The train was put back into service from L’Enfant Plaza after repairs were made. 5:26 p.m. A Yellow Line train at Huntington was delayed because of a mechanical problem on the track.

6:11 p.m. An Orange Line train at Stadium-Armory in the direction of Vienna was delayed because of a mechanical problem. A following train was taken out of service and used to push the disabled train to the rail yard. Blue and Orange Line trains shared one track between Stadium-Armory and Eastern Market until the disabled train could be moved. Several trains were rerouted for schedule. Customers experienced significant delays.
