Metro provided extra rail service Saturday to help customers traveling to the Washington Mystics basketball game.

Unexpected Service Disruptions:


2:07 a.m. An Orange Line train at Stadium-Armory in the direction of New Carrollton was delayed because of a sick customer.

9:22 a.m. An Orange Line train at West Falls Church in the direction of New Carrollton was not dispatched because no operator was available.

10:11 a.m. A Green Line train at Congress Heights in the direction of Branch Ave was delayed because of a mechanical problem on a preceding non-revenue train.

11:09 a.m. A Red Line train at Gallery Pl-Chinatown in the direction of Shady Grove was taken out of service because of a door problem, and customers were required to exit the train.

12:07 p.m. A Blue Line train departing Braddock Road in the direction of Largo Town Center was delayed because of water on the track. The train returned to Braddock Road and shared the opposite track to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Customers experienced moderate delays.

12:12 p.m. A Yellow Line train at Fort Totten was not dispatched because of a mechanical problem.

1:55 p.m. A Blue Line train at Arlington Cemetery in the direction of Franconia-Springfield was delayed because of a door problem.

2:13 p.m. A Green Line train at U St/African-Amer Civil War Memorial/Cardozo in the direction of Branch Ave was delayed because of a door problem.
