You'll be batting a thousand every time you travel to your nearest Metro Park and Ride lot for a quick and easy trip to the new Nationals Park. When you arrive at the Navy Yard Metrorail Station on the Green Line, you’ll have only a short half block walk to the new ballpark! (See the Washington Nationals site for schedule information.) You can use the online Trip Planner to get you to Metro’s Navy Yard station (located on the Green Line). Then use our handy walking map to get you from the station to Nationals Park.

The Navy Yard Metrorail Station has undergone a renovation with an Expanded Entrance designed to accommodate Nationals Fans on game day. The Nationals Ballpark entrance (West entrance) will be an exit only, starting 3 hours before games, and an entrance only, after games. During games, the Navy Yard Station New Jersey Ave entrance (East entrance) should be used by people traveling in the opposite direction of the crowds. Metrobus to Nationals Park:

After a Nationals game, avoid the crowds at Navy Yard station (and connect to Eastern Market or Union Station) by hopping on an N22 Metrobus. It swings by Navy Yard station every 10 minutes and it will help you make it home fast. Click here to view a map of the N22 Metrobus route.

Peeps in the Park
Who'll win a race to Nationals Park? The Peeps who take Metro or the Peep who drives his car? As a Peep races through the streets and circles the neighborhood in search of a parking space, his buddies take Metro to the Navy Yard Metrorail station, just a block from the ballpark. MetroAccess Customers

MetroAccess has designated a specific drop-off and pick-up location to serve all MetroAccess customers going to Nationals Park. MetroAccess will drop-off and pick-up customers at the corner of New Jersey Ave, SE and M St, SE. Click here for a map of the area. Parking at a Metro station?

On Saturday, Sunday and Federal holidays parking is FREE at Metro Park and Ride lots.
So whenever you travel—during the week and on weekends—Metro is the best way to go.

Note: Credit Card pilot program
Paying to park has gotten easier. Customers can pay the parking daily fee with a major credit card at six pilot Metrorail stations. The parking facilities at the Anacostia, Franconia-Springfield, Largo Town Center, Vienna/Fairfax-GMU, Shady Grove and New Carrollton Metrorail stations have exit lanes where credit cards are accepted. Customers are able to use their Discover, Mastercard, Visa, American Express or Japanese Credit Bank cards at these locations. A credit card reader is installed next to the existing SmarTrip® card target reader on the side of the booth within the appropriate lane.
