Bike-'N-Ride on Metro

Metro recognizes bicycling's many benefits. With this in mind, Metro offers cyclists the following facilities and programs:

  • Bicycle lockers and racks at Metrorail stations for cyclists wishing to split their commutes between bike and rail.
  • Metro's Bike-'N-Ride program on:
    • Metrorail, which permits cyclists to bring their bikes aboard trains at off-peak times.
    • Metrobus, which permits cyclists to load their bikes on racks on the front of Metrobuses, with no day or time restrictions.

Additional bicycling information

There are several private and government organizations that offer helpful information on local bike trails, commuting, safety, advocacy, the annual Bike to Work day and many other bike events, services and initiatives.
