Metrobus service maps

Maps of individual Metrobus routes are included on all bus timetables. To see these maps, visit the timetables page and download the timetable(s) of interest.

The maps available on this page show all bus service for the jurisdictions indicated. The maps show Metrobus route numbers, bus terminals, landmarks, Park & Ride lots and connections to Metrorail and MARC and VRE commuter rail. To view Metrobus service maps, you must have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer. See information on downloading this free software and see tips for downloading the Metrobus maps.

How to use the online Metrobus service maps

These maps give an overview of bus service. To see time points for stops on a specific route, please see the bus timetables available online or in print at the Metro stations the routes serve. You can also request to have printed timetables mailed to you free by calling Metro customer service at 202/637-7000.

To plan a specific trip, use the Trip Planner, which gives door-to-door Metrobus and/or Metrorail itineraries, complete with travel time and transfers (if any).

Tips on using these online PDF maps:

  • Zoom and pan: Use the magnification controls Magnification toolbar imagein your Acrobat Reader toolbar to see the desired level of detail. Then, move the scroll bars at the top and/or side of the screen until you see the area you want.
  • Print a select area of a map: Use the select graphics tool Select graphic tool image to draw a box around the area you want to print. Then select "print." Only the selected area will print. If the printed area is smaller or larger than desired, you can adjust it on most printers using print options' magnification commands.
  • Print the entire map: The maps are 36" x 24". If you print the entire map, your printer will "tile" the image — output it over nine pages that fit together to create the whole map. Please note that the color-coded maps may be difficult to read when printed, unless you have a color printer.
