Tips for downloading Metrobus service maps

The Metrobus service maps, in Acrobat (PDF) format, are highly detailed. Despite being compressed, the files are large and may take several minutes to load if connecting via a dial-up connection or a congested office network.

If a map seems to be taking a long time to download:

• Be patient. Allow 3-4 minutes before halting the attempted download.
• Avoid computer memory problems in handling the maps by closing applications other than your Web browser. Or, save a copy of the map to your computer rather than load it in the browser. To do so, right click on the map's link, select "save target as," then specify a file name and location, typically your desktop. When the file finishes download, simply click on it on your desktop to view it.
• Download the map at another time when the server may be less busy.
