Bicycle Parking at Metro Stations

Many Metro stations have facilities for bicycle storage so you can ride your bicycle to a station, leave it there, and take Metrorail. Our storage facilities include racks and rental lockers. Bicycle racks are available for free on a first-come, first-use basis.

Bicycle Racks

Racks are either Inverted U Type or Rally Rack III.

When using the the Inverted U Type:

Detach the front wheel.
Using a cable lock, fasten the front wheel, back wheel, and bicycle frame together.

When using the Rally Rack III:

Use a standard, medium-sized key padlock.
Place your bicycle between the side bars.
Close the bars so that the prongs go through your frame.
Insert the lock through the hole in the center of the basket.
Close the lock.

Bicycle Lockers

Bicycle lockers provide excellent, secure bicycle parking by improving protection from theft, vandalism, and inclement weather. The lockers are designed to hold one bicycle each as well as bicycle gear such as panniers, locks, lights, etc. Users will receive one key that will only open one locker. Each locker has a unique lock and key to provide maximum security. Bicycle lockers are available for $200 for one year plus a $10 key deposit.

To rent a locker, send us an email providing your name, address, contact phone number, email address, and station of interest. All locker rentals are subject to availability.
