Downtown DC heats up again this summer with the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District's free 2008 Sounds in the Square concert series held in Farragut Square Park on Thursday evenings in May and June.

Grab a blanket and some friends and hit Farragut Square Park at Connecticut & K Streets NW to take part in the local music scene. This year's series will feature some of the area's most popular local bands like No Second Troy, which Spin magazine says "burns bright as the sun" and other local favorites Everyone But Pete, the Kelly Bell Band, JunkFood, Reflex, Crowded Streets, and Justin Jones & The Driving Rain.

Take Metrobus or Metrorail to the concerts: Farragut Square Park is next to the Farragut North (Red line) and Farragut West (Orange and Blue lines) Metrorail stations and is accessible by Metrobus routes L2, L4, S2, S4, and 42.
