The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) is seeking volunteers and groups to adopt a bus stop or stops. Volunteers will have their names placed at the bus stop and will be able to assist the community by keeping the bus stops clean, accessible, and free of debris.
Anyone can adopt a bus stop or stops: groups, individuals, private companies, public agencies, churches, schools, school groups, civic organizations/groups, scout groups, and more. People of all ages are welcome to join in the effort! Bus stop adoption is simple and when everyone joins this environmentally conscious program, the region becomes a better place to live and work. With more than 12,000 bus stops, your effort will help to demonstrate your pride in your community.
