Metro strives to bring customers a better bus experience by continuously adjusting bus routes based on input from customers, an analysis of on-time performance, ridership data, corridor studies and cost efficiency in order to deliver a better bus experience for our passengers.
Metro implements service changes four times each year. The next service change is scheduled for December 13, 2015. See the service change details.
Staff and jurisdictional partners consistently evaluate routes to make improvements and appropriately allocate available resources. Here are some current studies underway:
State of Good Operations
Metrobus State of Good Operations (SOGO) is an annual program of budget-neutral service adjustments developed to build a better bus experience for customers. The adjustments are planned to improve reliability, increase ridership and cost recovery, and provide better on-time performance and more efficient use of equipment and financial resources.
Customers are asked each year to comment on the proposed adjustments through a variety of input methods. The Metrobus Planning staff incorporates this customer response and works with the jurisdictions to create a final package of service adjustment recommendations for Board approval and subsequent implementation.

After reviewing public feedback received in September and October, Metro’s Board of Directors approved the proposal package on November 19, 2015. These changes will be implemented in 2016. View approved changes to be implemented within the next year.
