Better Bus


Metrobus Service Changes, Beginning August 24

Changes are coming to Metrobus service to reduce crowding, shorten wait times and improve on-time performance in a continuing effort to bring you a Better Bus experience. Riders on the following routes take note as major changes will affect your travel.

  • Route 32 and 36 destination changes, along with the new introduction of Route 30N, 30S and 33. See the 30 line advisory.
  • 30 Line bus stop consolidation.
  • Route 7Y changes between the Pentagon and Federal Triangle to better serve Farragut Square, McPherson Square, and Mt. Vernon Square. See the 7Y advisory.
  • Route Y5, Y7, Y8, Y9 service improvements, along with the discontinuation of the Y5 and Y9. See the Y-line advisory.
  • Route 9S will be replaced by Metroway — a premium transit service between Crystal City and Braddock Road Metrorail station. See the Metroway advisory.
