Weekly Blotter   Five Year Crime Report   Year-to-Date Crime and Enforcement Report

The Police Records and Crime Analysis Division collects, files, and enters coded data into a central database to satisfy both internal and external reporting requirements. Crime trends, modus operandi, and a variety of investigative reports are prepared for detectives, division commanders, and police officials. The Division posts a weekly crime blotter on the web site each Monday depicting the reported crime from the previous week. As well, a monthly and yearly crime statistic report is published each month which indicates whether crime rates are going up or down. The division works in a multi-jurisdictional environment involving buses, trains, and Metro property in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
