The Group/Individual commits to:

• Voluntarily adopt a Metro bus stop
• Wear safety vest(s) provided by WMATA
• Keep the bus stop clean and accessible at all times
• Inspect the Bus stop at least once a week
• Report any graffiti, damage, or suspicious packages to the appropriate WMATA personnel
• Designate a leader who will represent the Group
• Supervise participants
• Not alter the bus stop (i.e., flowers, signage, lighting, etc.)
• Work during daylight hours ONLY
• Review Safety Training materials and location responsibilities

WMATA will:

• Install Adopt-a-Bus Stop decal identifying the Group/Individual
• Provide Safety vest(s), trash bags & trash clampers
• Remove graffiti and repair damage to specified stop

TERMS AND CONDITIONS It is understood that the members of the Group/Individual participating in Adopt-a-Bus Stop Program are providing volunteer services to the Group/Individual and not to WMATA. Either party may terminate this commitment for any reason upon 30-day written notice. This agreement is non-transferable and non-assignable. This agreement is not intended to create any legally enforceable rights against the Group/Individual, its members, or WMATA, in favor of any person not a party to this agreement. I agree that my group and its members are acting as private volunteers and not as officers, employees or agents of WMATA. I agree that WMATA will not be responsible for any injuries incurred while performing cleaning duties at the bus stop. I/my organization or group agrees to indemnity WMATA, its Directors, Officers, Employees, and agents against any loss, damage, costs or expenses including attorney’s fees for any such injuries.

I certify that I have read the information contained in this document and that I possess the authority to execute this document on behalf of my organization/group/individual
